Reduce Adobe PDF File Size

It is difficult to determine which factors determine file size for PDFs. But there are things that can be done to reduce file sizes, such as:

• OCR the file
• Save as a Reduced Size PDF
• Redacting marks like hole punches or staple marks

For example, with one test file, OCRing it took it from 11MB to 2.5MB.

Then, saving the OCRed copy as a reduced size PDF resulted in 1 MB file.
